This week has been full of warmth and blessings—sunshine that felt like a hug, actual hugs from little arms, yummy recipes, and meaningful progress. But even in the middle of so much good, the heaviness lingered. Loss and distraction made it hard to focus, reminding me again of how fragile and precious life is.
Mindset matters. I can choose to let the weight take over, or I can choose to see the light God has placed before me. Recently, I was struck by the testimony of a legendary man who passed: “Jesus saved my life. I’m a sinner. I gave my life to Christ, and that is the most important decision I’ve ever made.”
That truth makes all the difference. It doesn’t erase the hard, but it anchors me in hope. It shifts my eyes to what really matters and reminds me why I do what I do—capturing the beauty in the middle of both joy and sorrow.
Lately, I’ve been adding a new layer of perspective to how I think about sessions. More than ever, I don’t want them to be stiff or forced. I want them to be real. I want them to be fun. Life is too precious not to celebrate it.
So let’s do just that. Let’s read books together, play instruments, splash in water, chase bubbles, or pick flowers. Let’s embrace the laughter and the chaos, the quiet moments and the loud ones. These are the things worth remembering—the proof of love, joy, and God’s goodness in our everyday lives.
Because when the world feels heavy, these are the moments that lift us up.
