There’s a moment during almost every session when I see it—that flicker in a mom’s eyes. The kind that says,
“Is this enough?”
“Did I choose the right outfits?”
“Are the kids being too wild?”
“Am I even in any of these memories?”
And friend, I want to look her in the eye every time and say:
This is the good part.
The mismatched shoes. The baby that won’t be put down. The toddler who insists on twirling. The deep breath you take before the next thing. The way your family fits together in a way only yours can. That’s what I see when I lift my camera.
Not perfection—presence.
Not poses—connection.
Not something to fix—but something to frame.
I get it. You’re in the thick of it. You might feel like you’re always behind or too tired or too overwhelmed to pause. But sometimes we need someone else to show us that this right here is what you’ll want to remember. That this version of motherhood—raw, radiant, real—is worth capturing.
That’s what I do. That’s what I love.
And maybe, if you're having a hard week too, this is your reminder:
You’re doing enough. Your love is showing. And this messy, beautiful, holy work of motherhood?
This is the good part.
