This wasn’t just any trip — it was the summer before kindergarten for one of my littles, and a milestone birthday for my husband. I didn’t realize how deeply I’d feel it all until the very end of the week when we packed the car to head home. Tears welled up as I watched the lake fade in the rearview mirror. Life is moving — and it's moving fast.
