If you’ve been struggling with anxiety or feeling overwhelmed, you’re not alone. This simple, faith-filled moment reminded me of God’s presence in the middle of it—and how we’re not meant to carry it all on our own.
There’s something about anxiety that feels loud, urgent… almost convincing. Like it deserves your full attention the moment it shows up.
But lately, I’ve found myself wanting to conquer it more.
Not ignore it. Not pretend it’s not there. But meet it differently.
Because anxiety has a way of slipping into the quiet moments—the “what ifs,” the overthinking, the pressure to have everything figured out right now.
And in the middle of all of that, something small and simple has been happening in our home.
Each morning, my daughter and I reach into a little box and pull out a random Bible verse to start our day.
No planning. No overthinking. Just a quiet moment together.
And somehow—somehow—we keep pulling the same verse:
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” — Philippians 4:6
At first, I smiled.
The second time, I paused.
By the third… I felt it.
Not coincidence. Not random.
A God wink.
The kind that feels deeply personal—like He sees exactly where you are, even if you haven’t said it out loud.
Because the truth is, anxiety doesn’t always show up as something overwhelming. Sometimes it’s subtle. Lingering. A quiet hum in the background of your thoughts.
And instead of letting it take over, I’ve been feeling this pull to respond differently.
To pause instead of spiral.
To pray instead of overthink.
To give thanks—even before things feel resolved.
And every morning, there it is again.
A gentle, steady reminder:
You don’t have to carry this.
Not some of it.
Not most of it.
Any of it.
It’s not saying life won’t feel overwhelming sometimes. It’s not pretending there aren’t real concerns or real responsibilities.
But it is an invitation.
To bring it all to Him.
The messy thoughts.
The unknowns.
The worries you can’t quite name.
And not just with desperation—but with thanksgiving.
That part has been sitting with me.
Because gratitude shifts something.
It doesn’t erase the anxiety, but it changes the posture of your heart in the middle of it. It reminds you of what is steady, what is good, what is already being held together—even when you feel like you’re unraveling a little.
And maybe that’s what this has been about.
Not eliminating anxiety completely.
But learning how to surrender it—again and again.
So if you’ve been feeling it too… the weight, the worry, the constant thinking…
Maybe this is your God wink, too.
Not by accident.
Not random.
Just a loving reminder, right on time.
You don’t have to be anxious about anything.
You’re allowed to hand it over—again and again—and trust that He’s already working in ways you can’t yet see.
And maybe this is your reminder today—to slow down, to pray, and to trust God with what feels heavy.
Because peace doesn’t come from having all the answers.
It comes from knowing who you’re placing them in.
And this… this is why I care so deeply about documenting motherhood—the real, emotional, in-between moments. The ones where God is quietly at work, even when life feels heavy.
