August has arrived, and I can't help but pause for a moment to reflect on how much has happened this summer.
When I started Roadhouse Photography, I dreamed about creating more than beautiful photographs. I dreamed about creating a place where mothers would feel seen, celebrated, and welcomed. A place where families could slow down for just a little while and preserve the moments that seem to disappear too quickly.
This month feels like another step toward that dream.
The Studio Is Really Taking Shape
One of the biggest milestones happened this week.
Our future studio is now framed! The trusses have been installed, and the entire building is wrapped and papered. Every time we walk past it, it feels a little less like a construction project and a little more like the place where so many memories will be made.
There is still plenty of work ahead, but seeing walls instead of just a foundation has made everything feel incredibly real.
Thank you to everyone who has followed along, encouraged us, and celebrated each milestone with our family. Your support means more than you know.
Six Founding Mothers
Another exciting update is that our Founding Mothers community has grown to six incredible women.
The Founding Mothers are the families who chose to believe in this dream before the studio doors even open. They'll always be part of the story of Roadhouse Photography, and I am so grateful for each one.
Their encouragement, kindness, and belief in what we're building remind me why I started this business in the first place.
